Agata Buzek suffered from cancer. She was a child when she received the diagnosis

Buzek learned how unfair life can be when she was only 8 years old. She was often sick, had various infections, and antibiotic therapy did not bring the expected results. Finally, the doctors decided to broaden the diagnosis. The results were shocking because it turned out that he was suffering from Hodgkin’s disease, which is one of the types of lymphoma, i.e. lymphoma of the lymphatic system. She then went to Germany, where she underwent specialist treatment, including: chemotherapy. Because of the pain she experienced every day, she realized that the line between life and death was extremely thin. – Young people feel immortal. (…) I have never had such a moment. I always knew that I was mortal and that my strength was limited – in 2016 in “Uroda Życia”.

she doesn’t hide the fact that there were moments of doubt when she wanted to give up. However, her parents’ support gave her strength. – Mom and dad didn’t feed me fear, they fed me hope – she said. Finally, after 3 years, she managed to win. Although more than 35 years have passed since these events, she still reluctantly recalls this period. – I don’t distance myself from this period, but I don’t like talking about it, it’s too intimate for me – she explained in an interview with “Twój Styl”.

Life experienced it many years later as well. The actress admitted that she had suicidal thoughts

Buzek is famous for speaking his mind and breaking taboos without hesitation. In 2019, she opened up to further painful experiences. In an interview with Wysokie Obcasy, she confessed what used to be her biggest fear. – I used to be most afraid of loneliness and being alone. Safety only gave me the feeling that I had lots of people around me. This started to change a few years ago, she said. Only when she encountered loneliness did she have to learn to accept it. And it was neither an easy nor a pleasant process. – I am reluctant to analyze myself publicly. Especially since lately I’ve been trying not to do it myself, but just take what comes. To take, but not necessarily to understand, she said.

She admitted that in the most difficult moments she had… Ultimately, she managed to get straight, and the difficult times made her completely reevaluate her life. – There were many different reasons that, at the moment of complete breakdown, depression, self-doubt and suicidal thoughts, made me come out a different person – she said honestly. Today she argues that her mental condition is stable and she has regained her balance. – I think I managed to get back to my good mood. And suddenly I don’t mind spending time alone, said the actress.
