Piotr Grabowski, born in 1947 in Gdańsk, was a theater and film actor. Virtually all children in Poland knew his voice because he lent it to Mickey Mouse. It could be seen, among others, in “Daleko od sosy”, “Polish roads”, “In the labyrinth” and “Kill me, cop”, and in “The Quack” by Jerzy Hoffman, he played Zenek, in love with Marysia. The actor died on January 7, 1998, at the age of only 50. He was buried at Stare Powązki in Warsaw.
Mikołaj Grabowski was born a year earlier in Chrzanów. In 1969, he graduated in acting, and in 1977, also in directing, at the Academy of Theater Arts. Stanisław Wyspiański in Krakow. He managed, among others, Polish Theater in Poznań and Krakow Theater. Juliusz Słowacki, STU Theater and Stary Teatr im. Helena Modrzejewska. He could be seen on the screen, among others: in “Career of Nikoś Dyzma”, “Pręgi” and “John Paul II”.
Mikołaj Grabowski is not Piotr Grabowski. Neither is Andrzej, although we are related here
He has two brothers, the younger Andrzej also became an actor. His greatest popularity came from the role of Ferdek Kiepski in the Polsat series, but he is also a renowned theater and film actor. In one of the interviews, he admitted that he went to study acting because of his older brother:
I applied to theater school not because of my love for the theater, but because I liked the life of theater school students. It was cool, just like the people were nice, Mikołaj had Jurek Trela and Mańek Dziędziel. And pretty girls… I wanted to get there because I got to know this life while at camp with them.
Mikołaj Grabowski and his brother have been acting together on stage for years, also with Jan Peszek, in the play “Scenario for three actors”. As you can read in the description of the performance, “revealing a bit of your privacy, they will take you to the unique space of a crazy theatrical rehearsal, ‘theatre within a theater’, on the border between absurdity and reality.” More than thirty years have passed since the premiere of “Scenario for Three Actors” directed by Mikołaj Grabowski at the Scena STU Theater in Krakow! The premiere took place on March 28, 1987.

Mikołaj Grabowski’s wife is a graduate of the State Theater School, Iwona Bielska (photos in the gallery). She made her stage debut in 1977 at the Krakow Theater. Juliusz Słowacki, playing Hanka in “Morality of Mrs. Dulska”. She is often directed by her husband (they have a son, Michał).
When it comes to screen appearances, Bielska may be familiar to viewers of “On the Silver Globe”, “Trials by Fire and Water”, “The Moth”, “The Wolf”, “Colonel Kwiatkowski” and “The Wedding”. She also played in TV series, e.g. “Adam i Ewa”, “Magda M” and “Przepis na Życie”.
