50-year-old, get rid of these clothes from your closet. They are aging and unfashionable. See stylish alternatives

Currently, there are no hard and fast rules about what you should and shouldn’t wear after a certain age. However, on the other hand, there are clothes that visually add years. Often they are simply out of fashion or do not fit well with other clothes. What should women over fifty forget about and best get rid of from the closet?

Lace clothes. This material may age

Even though lace came back into fashion for a while, it is better to avoid it. This especially applies to lace evening dresses, which were actually fashionable a few years ago. They usually have a lace neckline and sleeves. These are often tight-fitting, knee-length dresses that fit the figure poorly and highlight the shortcomings of the figure. After the age of 50, it is better to avoid sweaters with necklines finished with lacewhich are also not very tasteful and are no longer fashionable.

What to wear instead of lace? Openwork clothes are very much in line with the trends. This type of decoration will add a modern character to the styling and can make you look younger. In autumn, it is worth reaching for openwork sweaters, dresses, elegant blouses and shoes.

A suit often adds years. What to choose instead after 50?

For many years, a suit was a classic piece of clothing in every elegant woman’s wardrobe. An outfit consisting of a skirt or dress and a jacket was most often worn to work, weddings and other special occasions. You could say it’s the equivalent of a men’s suit. However, the suit has already gone out of fashion and it is better to choose other clothes that will make you look more modern and stylish. A good choice will be a women’s suit consisting of trousers and a jacket in the same color.

Remember that both of these elements should fit your figure well. For semi-formal occasions, you can also choose fabric trousers or a skirt and a jacket, which do not constitute a set, but must match in color. An alternative to a suit can also be a feminine, elegant jumpsuit.

Don’t wear this after 50. Animal motifs from head to toe

Animal prints do not go completely out of fashion, and some of them can be considered timeless, such as leopard spots. However, the issue is moderation. After the age of 50, it is better not to wear outfits consisting of many clothes with animal patterns. Such a combination may look kitschy and tasteless. Especially if you decide to wear clothes with various prints of this type.

However, this does not mean that 50-year-old women cannot wear such dresses, trousers or blouses at all. However, choose only one element and let the rest of the styling be minimalist and uniform. In fact, this principle can also be applied to other patterns, e.g. flowers.
