The role in “The Quack” is Maria Kowalska’s first such a serious production. The actress, born in 1996, is a graduate of the Łódź Film School. – Marysia Kowalska as Marysia Wilczurówna is mesmerizing. It has something fresh, authentic, ephemeral, and at the same time it shows that it has character, an opinion of its own and can take care of itself. Liss graduated in acting from the Theater Academy in Warsaw last year. He made his theater debut in the Warsaw Polonia with the role of Lior in the play “My God!”. “Quack” can be a great gateway to a career, as Tomasz Stockinger discovered in the 1980s. – “Quack” was supposed to be based on three big names. There was Bińczycki, there was Dymna and the third one, and the choice fell on me at the last minute – he said in an interview with Plotek.pl.
– Anyway, I was mostly nervous because they wanted there to be a third star, and something didn’t work out as a result of these talks and deadlines, so I jumped in – well, I don’t want to say like a sudden replacement – but it was unexpected. Suffice it to say that actually three weeks before the shooting began, I was hired to play the role of Leszek Czyński – said the actor, who gained enormous recognition thanks to his role in Jerzy Hoffman’s film. Now it’s time for Maria Kowalska and Ignacy Liss.
