“The truth is that I feel very excited, happy and satisfied with that response that the public has had, I thought that this would go unnoticed, I have never been very fond of social networks but now I went to Instagram because it seems to me that It is a network that has more personal projection, one can be oneself, handle the content that you want, put it in such a way that it is how you want it, ”says the communicator to this newspaper.
Entering the digital world was a pending task. His son Juan José finished convincing him to open his account on Instagram and with just three publications, each one registers more than 100,000 reproductions. “Juan José always talked to me about opening an account on Instagram and this is a very useful window for the common people and for oneself, after so many years on television in which I have projected myself as I am, although in a more rigid format, like that of a newscast, I needed this other projection in which I can be more my person, converse with people, express my opinions and criteria in a more friendly style ”, he points out.
His first post, a video in which he appears singing while playing the guitar together with his grandson Antonio Alfonso, has more than 126,000 views. This musical facet, very little shared with his television audience, has surprised his audience. “That was a video that at some point we recorded at home, because I am a fan of music and singing and so is my grandson. I made him sing with me, “he says.
‘Don Alfonso’, as several generations of Ecuadorians affectionately call the anchor of Televistazo -a space in which he has remained since 1967- he also plans to share live connections with his friends. The first possible live, as he reveals, would be done together with his friend and former channel partner, Teresa Arboleda, who suggested connecting this way to the delight of the digital community. “I also want to do it, because the idea is to be able to be closer to people, to my followers, even to my friends. Espinosa de los Monteros is about to turn 80 years old on December 24, which will be celebrated as a family.
