The former “Married at First Sight” expert has died. She left because “there were people in it who shouldn’t”

Dr. Trisha Stratford has died at the age of 72. She was known as an expert in the Australian version of the “Marriage at First Sight” program, also popular in Poland. The therapist left the reality show in 2020.

According to the Daily Mail, Trisha Stratford died at the “happiest moment of her life.” The therapist’s friends announced the sad news and informed that recently the 72-year-old was making plans and was excited about the upcoming chapter in her life. Dr. Stratford’s cause of death has not been made public.

Trisha Stratford served as an expert in the Australian version of the program until 2020. The therapist left the program to focus on writing and improving in neuropsychotherapy.

In an interview with Women’s Day NZ, a year after leaving the famous reality show, Stratford decided to make an honest confession. In the interview, she revealed why she really quit working on the program. “I couldn’t lower my personal standards and disregard my work ethic. There were participants in the program who, in my opinion, should not be on it,” she said. She admitted that she agreed to other conditions that the program no longer met.

“She loved New Zealand, relationships, French wine and traveling the world.”

John Aiken, who worked with Trishy on Married at First Sight, added a post about her death. He confessed that he was devastated by the news. “We spent an incredible seven seasons on set,” he emphasizes. “She loved New Zealand, relationships, French wine and traveling around the world,” Aiken recalls her friend and adds that he will miss her.
