Although many disturbing things have been happening in Poland recently, the so-called the national media, whose employees refer to them as “Polish television”, decided to devote an incredible amount of airtime to disgusting Agnieszka Holland’s latest film. Wednesday’s “Wiadomości” broadcast materials attacking the production. I don’t think any film has received such anti-advertisement.
The campaign against the “Green Border” is in full swing
In the first minute of the daily, the material entitled “The shameful film insults border defenders”, which Edyta Lewandowska announced with the following sentence: – This film is a lampoon, attacking people who, risking their lives, guard the Polish border against the hybrid attack of Putin and Lukashenko, say politicians and publicists.
It’s about the painting ‘The Green Border’ by Agnieszka Holland. The Border Guard is presented as a bunch of sadists, and the inhabitants of Podlasie as simpletons and degenerates. This is a gift for Kremlin propaganda, the Polish Television employee continued.
Although the film will not be released in cinemas until Saturday, after its premiere at the Venice Festival, you can find many reviews online by renowned critics, which show that the production shows the problem of the migration crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border from many perspectives, and none of the characters is clearly black or white.
The material also illegally used a brutal fragment of the film without context, which was leaked online. As reported by the portal, TVP employees received a copy of the production from a mysterious source in order to slander the film before its premiere. “Due to important social interest and protection of the good name of the border guard, these fragments were broadcast” – this is how Telewizja Polska explained in a statement sent to the WP editorial office.
Also shown was the speech of Jarosław Kaczyński, who showed that “the idea is to insult the Polish uniform”, Minister Ziobro, who said that “this attack pleases Putin and Lukashenko” and Minister Mariusz Błaszczak, who turned to Donald Tusk and Rafał Trzaskowski that “they have a moral obligation to apologize to Polish officers.”
– Slandering the defenders of one’s own borders is painfully unfair, which is why it is so important that the slogan “a wall behind the Polish uniform” continues to be heard – the host of TVP1’s “Wiadomości” concluded the material, but she did not stop at one material.

The material juxtaposes fragments of a feature film with recordings of real immigrants threatening border guards.
This is what the everyday life of border defenders looks like, said a national media reporter, summing up that Holland’s film fits into ‘the attacks inspired by Minsk and Moscow’.
The next material shows fragments of the film taken out of context, including: about “voting for the Civic Platform” with the heroine of Agata Kulesza. – Holland first stirs up emotions, and then complains that people on the street are asking her uncomfortable questions – said the author of the material, Marcin Szewczak.
However, in the material broadcast at the end of the program “Patocelebrities with Poland in… the nose”, in which a fragment of the film with Maciej Stuhr’s outraged hero was shown. – There is a shameful group of those who speak contemptuously about Poland and Poles – he added, mentioning Maciej Maleńczuk, Barbara Kurdej-Szatan, Krystyna Janda, Jerzy Stuhra and Daniel Olbrychski. – Is there a line they won’t cross? – said a TVP employee.
