He will go on tour promoting his new album “1-800-OŚWIECENIE” in May 2024 and will perform until June. September 22, 2023 is the official release date of the album, which in August reached gold in less than 24 hours from the start of pre-sales. The day before the publication hits store shelves, you will also be able to buy tickets for the concert tour – the official ticket sales start on September 21 at noon. It probably won’t be easy.
Ticket pre-sales for Hemigway’s Taco tour were chaos
Empik Premium account holders could already buy pre-sale tickets for Taco Hemingway’s concerts on September 20. The artist’s fans literally rushed to buy. However, to get the desired seat, you needed a special customer code. This is not an insurmountable obstacle, you just need to purchase the appropriate package. The demand for tickets to Taco Hemingway’s concerts was so great that Empik’s servers crashed, and some of the people waiting saw messages that they had to wait, for example, two hours to even enter the website.
“The server at Empik crashed, and it’s not even a sale yet”, “Another hour of waiting”, “I went to the website 15 minutes earlier and waited for tickets, they didn’t appear at 12, so I refreshed, and then I got a message that the server was down” – reported by individual people in comments under posts on the Hemingway and Empik Tickets websites. Fans in the comments indicate that although they logged in before the pre-sale started, the waiting time for the opportunity to purchase was gradually longer – for example, it lasted about 40 minutes, then exceeded an hour, and then even two.
The fact that the servers could not handle such a large amount of traffic is only the beginning of the adventures of the angry fans. Because even if someone managed to log in to the website, it was not so obvious that they would be able to buy tickets. The error often occurred and the customer codes required for the purchase did not work. “If anyone received the message ‘Could not verify the correctness of the card’, please be patient and send a private message” – the company informed on the profile, and in response there were messages that, for example, no one was replying to these messages, and half an hour had already passed, someone another reported that in response he was redirected to a broken contact form.
Taco Hemingway has suspended the servers again
“Unfortunately, the Empik premium code didn’t work and kicked me out of the website”, “Do you also have problems with the code from the application?”, “I must have entered it 50 times and nothing… it’s a disaster”, “I have a card number error and it’s been fun since new”, “Because of this mistake, I lost my place in the queue twice” – we read in the comments section.
There were also other difficulties, users reported, for example, that they were constantly redirected from the website to the application, and then from the application to the website. What else was going on? “Is anyone else getting the message that there are no tickets when they want to proceed to payment, even though they are there?”, “Yes, I had the same problem, I took a further batch of 3, and then when I pressed the batch of 2, it suddenly worked” – they exchange experiences militant fans of Filip Szcześniak’s work.
In the meantime, of course, all available tickets were sold out, so many people waited in vain. “The presale has ended – you bought all the tickets that were in the presale pools – WOW. See you tomorrow at 12:00!” – Empik Tickets announced on Facebook.
“What a disaster. I went there especially and I couldn’t even buy it there”, “This must be a joke”, “How many tickets were there? 20?” – people comment. Some people wonder who actually managed to get tickets, since people are complaining everywhere. It’s hard to disagree with the comment of one of the Facebook users who, referring to the whole situation, wrote: “In this country you have to wait in line your whole life.”

Taco Hemingway 1-800-TOUR starts in Katowice, specifically on May 17, 2024 at the International Congress Center. The artist will also perform at MTP 5 in Poznań (May 19), Ergo Arena in Gdańsk (May 24) and at the Centennial Hall in Wrocław (June 7).
