She lost for the fifth time in “Millionaires” in mid-September 2022 thanks to Tomasz Orzechowski from Łódź. From the very beginning he seemed well prepared and determined. When it turned out that he had answered correctly in the final, he was proud and wanted to go on a trip to New York for winning. A year after these events, the man gave an interview, telling how participating in the game show changed his life.
It turned out that he had slightly revised his plans. He used part of the sum to buy an apartment in Szczecin, where he moved, and put the remaining amount on a deposit. Contrary to viewers’ belief, he did not have a million at his disposal. – It’s interesting, but I received PLN 899,990.85 – he confessed. – A 10% tax is charged on the winnings. Why not 900 thousand? zloty? Well, because in addition to the main prize, I also received a board game, which also has its own value – he explained, adding that he gave the game to the winner of the competition he organized on his social media profile.
Before he appeared in “Millionaires”, he participated in “Va Banque”. He confessed what motivates him
It was not the first time for Orzechowski on television. He regularly takes part in various games, and 4 years ago he even appeared in “Va Banque” and is considering returning to this format. As he himself admitted, this is his great passion, and money and prizes are a secondary issue. – I don’t play game shows for money, any winnings are just a sweet bonus. The most important thing for me is the joy of playing and I hope that I will have it soon – he said in Plejada.
Recently he also appeared in “Poles know” on TVP Polonia. However, before he appeared on the set, he had doubts because as “The Millionaire” he felt the weight of pressure and expectations. – Everyone expects a good game. I had this in my head when I was going to the recordings of the game show, he said. He changed his attitude only when the director of the program admitted that he did not recognize him. – Then I thought: “Well, you’ll remember me.” The motivation was stronger than the pressure, he said with a laugh.
