A policeman interrupted the performance of “The Name” in Zielona Góra. He talked about fines
The play was presented in the auditorium of the University of Zielona Góra, but was interrupted by a policeman. As reported by an RMF FM reporter, the officer informed those present that they were threatened with fines and having their cars towed away. It turned out that eight of the people present at the play left their cars on the fire road, where parking is prohibited.
The situation was confirmed by Wojciech Malajkat in an interview with Interia. “The audience initially thought it was part of the performance. I corrected them and suggested a break,” says the actor. Unfortunately, the play could not be finished due to a lot of confusion. “From then on, the wanderings began. People left and came back. The performance was interrupted four times. The performance could not continue,” he adds.

According to Malajkat, the policeman should not stop the play and start performing appropriate actions. “I have to defend the actors here, because it is impossible to act in such conditions,” the actor notes. The Zielona Góra police also commented on the case. An extensive statement appeared online, explaining the situation and describing the course of the intervention.
“On that day, around 4 p.m., a road traffic patrol was sent to the site after a telephone notification from residents who reported that cars were parked on the narrow road, where stopping is prohibited. This is the only access road to the facilities of the University of Zielona Góra and residential buildings located nearby. located at Szafrana Street,” the police inform.
The statement reads that the uniformed officer was informed about “some meeting” taking place in the auditorium, but did not know that it was a theater performance. “After receiving consent from the participants to provide information about illegally parked cars, the policeman did not interrupt the performance. As the audience leaving the hall told the intervening policeman, it was interrupted by the actors themselves,” emphasizes the police station in Zielona Góra.
