TVN24 is the most watched news channel in Poland. Even though it is a paid station, in terms of viewership it is also better than TVP Info, which is available on free terrestrial television. Discovery may increase even more because the broadcaster has decided to decode the signal of its channels for subscribers who have not yet had access to TVN24 and TVN24 BiS in their offer.
TVN24 and TVN24 BiS completely free for subscribers of many operators
Open access to two news stations will be temporary – it will end on October 16, i.e. the day after the parliamentary elections. The decoding is automatic and to watch the channels, simply turn them on. The cable television operator Play/UPC Polska was the first to take such a step. According to the website, it was the sender who proposed such a solution. Moreover, it is worth noting that the number of content shared on the TVN24 YouTube channel has recently increased.
However, according to the information provided by the broadcaster, other operators also decided to take advantage of this offer. Subscribers of the Canal+ satellite platform and the Vectra, Multimedia Polska and Toya cable networks who do not have these channels as part of their purchased TV packages can also count on free access to TVN24 and TVN24 BiS.
It is worth mentioning that the largest satellite platform, i.e. Polsat Box, did not decide to take such a step. The company’s spokeswoman, Olga Zomer, admitted in an interview with the portal that no arrangements have been made in this matter yet. One can only guess that this operator does not want to create competition for the Polsat News news channel, which is available to subscribers of all packages.
