The chestnut tree is characterized by wide leaves and beautiful fruits, i.e. chestnuts. And although the common chestnut is not edible for humans, it can be useful when doing housework. Take some chestnuts with you while walking and try this brilliant trick.
Washing chestnuts? Thanks to the saponin content, chestnuts are great at removing dirt
Chestnuts contain saponin, a plant chemical compound. In the past, plants rich in this ingredient were used to produce soap or laundry detergents. Saponin perfectly removes dirt, stains and grease. However, before you start preparing the chestnuts, wrap them in a cloth and hit them several times with a hammer to break them into small pieces. Then put them in a blender and grind them into a fine powder.

Chestnut laundry liquid. How to prepare it?
You need to dry the chestnut powder, e.g. by pouring it onto a baking tray lined with baking paper and placing it in the oven or exposing it to the sun. Pour the dried powder into a jar and before use, mix 4 tablespoons with a cup of hot water. When washing, just pour some liquid into the powder compartment, and the rest can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Another way to use chestnuts is to break them into pieces, put them in a laundry bag and throw them into the drum. Remember, however, that the first method is more effective and can cope with even more difficult dirt.
