It happened many times that the jurors did not turn their seats, and when they saw who was standing on the stage – they regretted it. Perhaps this was also the case during the sixth edition of the program, to which an actress well-known to TVP viewers volunteered.
Laura Samojłowicz started her career in 2009, when she appeared in the program “Jak omi sang”. Then she devoted herself to an acting career, made her debut in the Lublin theater, and started playing in well-known Polish series such as “Foster Family”, “39 and a Half” or “Ojciec Mateusz”. However, viewers remember her best for her roles as Maja Chojnacka from “M jak miłość” and Natalia Lipska from “Hotel 52”.
The artist prepared her own interpretation of the Led Zeppelin song “Stairway to Heaven” for her performance in “The Voice of Poland”. Listening to the actress’ performance, the jurors hesitated whether to press the button and turn the chair around. Nobody ultimately did it.
After the actress’ performance, the then juror of the program, Edyta Górniak, commented sharply on the performance. She concluded that the only thing she liked about this version was the melody played on the piano. Tomson and Baron only said that “it should have been sung nicely.” Maria Sadowska was more understanding and noted that, in her opinion, “there was something” in the performance. Apparently not enough to invite the singer to the next stage of the competition.
