The organization of the Durango Fair has made three hours before closing its doors a positive feedback of this edition. Nerea Gerediaga, president of the Gerediaga association, wanted to thank the commitment and responsibility of visitors and participants: “We made a call to act responsibly at Azoka, and the response has been exceptional. We have been able to enjoy culture safely , and this has been possible thanks to the collaboration of all and all “.
The main objective of this edition of the fair was to regain presence, return to serve as a meeting point between creators and the public, and it has been fulfilled.
The Landako pavilion has hosted for five days 25,000 visitors, and all reserves have been exhausted; evidently, sales have been, with few exceptions, lower than in previous editions to the pandemic, since the number of visitors has also been lower.
In the digital store, in operation between December 3 and 7, 1,300 purchases have been made, and a total of 5,400 products have been purchased. The average cost per order was 58 euros.
“Where are you, the Fair is there!”
Although the 56th edition ends today, the Durango Fair will continue in the coming weeks, until January 6, in bookstores throughout the Basque Country thanks to the “Zu non, han DA!” Initiative. Like last year, Durangoko Azoka novelties can be purchased in 149 establishments in Euskal Herria.
