The former “Fakty” reporter won the court battle with the station. “TVN celebrated labor law”

After 10 years of cooperation, Robert Jałocha entered court with the TVN station. The National Labor Inspectorate found many irregularities in his employment. Although the final judgment was passed in favor of the reporter, the television station has been avoiding its execution for several months.

Robert Jałocha was associated with . He regularly appeared on air as a reporter for “Fakty”. When the contract was terminated in 2020, he asked his former employer to issue an employment certificate. Unable to obtain the document, he reported to the National Labor Inspectorate. Many other shortcomings came to light during the intervention.

Analyzing the situation, the National Labor Inspectorate found many gross irregularities. Ultimately, a decision was made to submit an application to the labor court to determine the employment relationship between Janocha and TVN. The judgment was passed in November 2022 in favor of , but in accordance with applicable law, the station appealed.

After re-analyzing the collected evidence, the court issued a final decision. The judgment was upheld and TVN was obliged to make the appropriate payments. – The court found that TVN circumvented labor law and confirmed that despite signing civil contracts with me, I had an employment relationship with TVN during that period – said Robert Jałocha in an interview with the portal.

It turns out, however, that this is not the end of the battle between Jałocha and . The former employer had 7 days to comply with the final judgment, but, as the reporter claims, the station has still not settled all outstanding ZUS contributions. An entry appeared on his profile on the X website (formerly Twitter) in which he publicly admitted that he still had to demand justice.

TVN did not implement the final judgment of the Court. He had seven days to report to ZUS and settle my outstanding contributions. Today it’s been two weeks and the station still hasn’t done it. I confirmed this with two sources. 7 days ago I also sent the judgments to the TVN Management Board

The journalist announced that he would fight in court for, among others: “unpaid contributions, overtime, holidays, as well as compensation for an accident suffered while working.” According to Wirtualnemedia.pl, we are talking about a situation when he accidentally fell during the recordings, dislocating his shoulder, which required surgery.
