It is true that many of the key characters disappeared from the cast a long time ago, giving way to new faces, but fans still fondly remember their complicated fates and life adventures. The undisputed favorites are still, among others: Małgorzata Foremniak and , who formed a harmonious couple on the screen.
Before “For better and for worse”, they played together many times. How did they meet?
Małgorzata Foremniak and Artur Żmijewski were associated with “Na dobre i na evil” from the very beginning. Few know, however, that they met 4 years earlier during the production of the film “Far From Each Other”, in which they played a couple in love. It was not an easy production, primarily due to the intimate bed scenes. Their common struggles resulted in friendship, as the actor made a very good impression on his friend. – Arthur was caring. I actually felt protected by him. This made playing comfortable. We worked well together. One look was enough to jump into the role. We became friends – Foremniak in an interview for “Grazia” magazine. The production quickly gained recognition from both viewers and critics. Later, the professional paths of the actors crossed many times. They met on the sets of “Mothers, Wives and Lovers”, “Crown Witness”, “Inverted” and “The Last Mission”, in which they also formed a married couple.
The Burski couple was a model for viewers. How did their storyline end in the series?
However, they made the biggest sensation as Zosia Stankiewicz and Jakub Burski in . The first episode was broadcast on November 7, 1999, attracting as many as 5 million viewers. Their story aroused curiosity from the very beginning. The heroes met during their studies, but after obtaining their diplomas, each of them went their separate ways. However, they were meant to be together, because soon they met again, this time as members of the medical crew. However, it took a long time before the nice anesthesiologist and the charming surgeon allowed themselves to fall in love. They finally got married, and although they experienced ups and painful downs, they were a role model for many. – Working together in “Na dobre i na evil” was a pleasure. I remember it very fondly, especially the first years of the series. (…) We built the history of the hospital on set and made friends off set. Artur and I created a couple that the Polish audience loved – said , who, together with her husband in the series, was awarded the Telekamera statuette three times.
The plot, beloved by viewers, was suspended in 2012 when Artur Żmijewski decided to leave the cast after 13 years. Shortly afterwards, Małgorzata Foremniak also shared the same fate. The Burski couple from the series left for Germany to continue their scientific careers there. Although it might seem that the door to production is still open, there is no indication that the scriptwriters are planning to bring back their characters in the near future.
