Karolina Pajączkowska was supposed to be the female face of TVP Info – a public broadcaster station where politicians of the United Right are glorified. She even managed to host big shows, such as last year’s edition of the festival in Opole. However, after the April managerial changes at the Television Information Agency, the presenter stopped appearing on the air. Recently, she confirmed that her cooperation with Telewizja Polska has ended.
On Thursday, a reportage describing the events from 24 years ago appeared in the magazine. The star of news programs, Michał Adamczyk, allegedly beat a 29-year-old woman. In 2002, a verdict was passed in which the court “recognised the perpetration and guilt of the accused”, but the case, as reported by Onet, was discontinued.
After a few hours, the director of the Television Information Agency decided to issue a statement on the pages of the right-wing portal wPolityce.pl. He stated that this is untrue and informed that he has already taken legal action against the author of the text. He also applied for leave and “put himself at the disposal of the board of TVP”.
The former TVP star shows an e-mail
Shortly after, Karolina Pajączkowska took the floor. She posted several posts on Portal X (formerly Twitter). In the first of them, she expressed her disapproval of violence against women, but in the following, she revealed some significant facts.
She wrote that she owns recordings and e-mails with Michał Adamczyk and other TVP employees, but does not want to publish them because she is no longer an employee of TVP. However, an hour later, she gave completely different information. She revealed that on Thursday afternoon there would be a meeting with the president of TVP, Mateusz Matyszkowicz, to whom she would like to ask a specific question:
I will officially ask the president why he did not respond to my e-mail I sent in May, in which I informed him what kind of person Mr. Michał A. was and what he did to me – wrote Pajączkowska.
Even more interesting is the comment she posted later. This is a screenshot of an email she sent to Mateusz Matyszkowicz, to which he did not respond. She captioned the photo with a blunt caption: “The truth will come out.”
The journalist began posting entries from the meeting with the president of TVP. In the first of them, she wrote that Matyszkowicz denied any changes in TAI and assured that Michał Adamczyk was only going on vacation. He allegedly said that “private affairs of TVP employees are only their business”.
