TVP reacted to Onet’s media reports on the case of Micha³ Adamczyk. The person concerned himself has not commented on the case so far, but he disappears from the air of Telewizja Polska.

On Thursday morning, one of the faces of TVP allegedly heard prosecutorial charges for beating a woman more than 20 years ago. An employee of Telewizja Polska did not comment on the case for a long time, but his employer made the right decisions.

According to , Michał Adamczyk was “taken out of the vision from today”. His absence coincides with the earlier text of Onet, in which you can read about the prosecutor’s allegations against the man in the beating case, which ended with the court finding him guilty on the basis of the evidence collected and at the same time discontinuing.

The TVP employee did not comment on Onet’s article for several hours. Finally made an exception for . As we read in a statement sent to the editorial office, he intends to take legal action:

In connection with the publication of the Onet portal about me, I declare that the acts described in the article did not take place. I have already taken legal action against the author of the text and the Onet portal. (…) I applied for leave and put myself at the disposal of the board of TVP – said Adamczyk.

Michał Adamczyk has been associated with Telewizja Polska for years. During the rule of Law and Justice, he became the main face of TVP news programs. In April he was elected as the new head of the Television Information Agency.

According to Onet reports, Michał Adamczyk allegedly beat a 29-year-old woman. In 2002, a verdict was passed in which the court recognized the “perpetration and guilt of the accused”, but the case, as reported by Onet, was discontinued.
