Wilki, Dżem, Dawid Podsiadło, Sanah, Krzysztof Krawczyk – for Poles, these are well-known artists and even more famous melodies and lyrics that sometimes stay in our heads for hours. However, people who were not born in our country are often surprised by our wheezing and crackling language, which is considered one of the most difficult in the world.
Kimek conquers TikTok. The Korean sings hits by Podsiadło, Sanah, Mata and Krzysztof Krawczyk
All the more respect is due to every musician who tries to sing our native hits fluently, although he does not know the language perfectly. An artist who publishes on TikTok on a profile named Kimek tries his hand at the Polish repertoire. According to ofeminin.pl, the creator comes from Korea and does not know Polish well.
Contrary to trends, the artist’s recordings do not try to hold the viewers’ attention with sophisticated effects or eye-catching thumbnails. Kimek usually just sits in front of the camera and sings Polish songs. He is doing quite well, and his videos have thousands of subsequent views.
Korean sings Mata’s hit. He’s just learning Polish
As you can see, the artist has quite a diverse taste. On one of the recordings, he performed the song “Time Machine”, which is one of the most watched materials on his profile. On another, he took Dawid Podsiadło’s hit “What you have” to the workshop, and on the next one he sang “Mom, you cried” by Sanah. Polish rock fans can listen to Happysad or Myslovitz songs performed by him, and rap enthusiasts should familiarize themselves with, for example, Mata’s cover of “Kiss Cam”.
“I don’t like Mata, but even sweet in his performance” – we read under the film. KImek admits in the description that he has great difficulty pronouncing the word “dance”. However, the artist does not give up. A few months after the publication of his own version of the hit, Maty uploaded another song with a problematic verb to his profile.
“For the last time you will dance with me” by Krzysztof Krawczyk, performed by a Korean, charmed the audience. “Beautifully” – we read under the film, where you can hear the artist’s progress in pronunciation. In some comments on the profile, listeners do not believe that the creator is just learning Polish and appreciate his talent, not only the musical one.
