How to remove scratches on the pan? Use salt from the kitchen

Some time ago @s_lou92 shared a video where she showed a trick for a scratched pan. The action is aimed at removing delicate scratches, but not only. What should I do?

Sophie Louise first washed the pan with the soft side of a sponge and dishwashing liquid. Then she waited for the dish to dry and warmed it up on the stove. Once it was very warm, she sprinkled the surface with plenty of table salt. She spread the product thoroughly and baked it for a while until it slightly changed color. Then she turned off the heat, waited for the pan to cool, and removed the salt with a paper towel. Note that this method will only work on minor scratches. What’s more, it will also make the food stop sticking to the surface.

Internet users commented on the presented trick. “people, it works”

Under the recording of Sophie Louise, there were many comments interested in the method of Internet users. They expressed their opinions and also proposed their kitchen tricks that they use every day.

I think it’s because the salt removes impurities from the surface of the pan… Many chefs also use this technique.

Guys, it works… I’ve been catering for 3 years and they taught us that.

This is the first thing I learned in culinary school.

How did you learn it?? I threw away a lot of pans.

Remember, however, that not every pan can be saved in this way. If it has been badly scratched, frying in such a dish and then eating food can be harmful to health. If the coating peels off and flakes off, be sure to replace the pan with a new one.
