How to protect your phone against theft? Remember that

Although theft using the “beaver” method took place in a store, there are many situations when a thief can also deprive himself of a phone on the street. Since we often use them to make contactless payments and we are automatically logged in to many applications, it is worth protecting yourself against this type of event. What is worth remembering?

  • Avoid keeping your phone “in plain sight”, i.e. in a trouser pocket, jacket pocket, open bag or backpack, or leaving it on the table.
  • Set up a phone lock in the form of a password, PIN code or fingerprint.
  • Write down the IMEI number, which is unique for each phone.
  • Install proven applications: anti-theft, to help track a lost or stolen device, and those that will block it if necessary. Thanks to this, the thief will not get to your data, including payment details.

In fact, all you need to do is introduce simple steps that will help you significantly reduce the risk that your device, and with it your personal data, will be stolen. Of course, you can’t forget about caution either.

She went to the store to steal a phone. She did it… with her teeth

Employees of a phone shop in China found out that anyone can fall victim to a thief. According to the portal, a bizarre situation took place in it. One of the clients decided to steal an expensive smartphone using a method jokingly called “beaver”. Even though the model was secured with a lanyard, and she didn’t have a knife or other equipment she could use, she decided to deal with it in a different way. Cameras captured her chewing through the security with her teeth alone, then stuffing her phone into her bag and leaving the store.

The video of the surprising theft was posted on X (formerly Twitter). The woman was caught by the police half an hour after the spectacular action. Everything indicates that no one from the store noticed how he was biting the line, so we had to wait for the reaction. What’s more, the fact that she did it only with the help of her teeth may indicate that it was not of very good quality.
