Euskaraz irakurri: Zinemaldiko Sail Ofizialeko lehiaketara Isabella Eklöf, Kitty Green eta Xavier Legrand gehitu dira

The San Sebastian Festival has announced another seven films that will be part of the list of candidates for the Golden Shell in 2023. Among others, Isabella Eklöf, Kitty Green and Kei Chika-Ura will compete in the Official Section of Zinemaldia, as well as the debut of Tzu-Hui Peng and Ping-Wen Wang.

The Official Section incorporates the new proposals from the directors of Isabella Eklöf (with kalak), Kitty Green (with The Royal Hotel), Kei Chika-Ura (with Great Absence), Xavier Legrand (with successor), Christos Nikou (with fingernails), Tzu-Hui Peng and Ping-Wen Wang (with A Journey in Spring).

In addition to the films that will compete for the Golden Shell, the Festival will include a special screening of the film A sérieux métier by Thomas Liltide in the Official Selection.

This announcement joins the list of eleven previously announced candidates for the Golden Shell: María Alché and Benjamín Naishtat, Jaione Camborda, Robin Campillo, Isabel Coixet, Isabel Herguera, Raven Jackson, Joachim Lafosse, Noah Pritzker, Cristi Puiu and Martín Rejtman.

Out of competition, the series has been programmed the messiahby Javier Ambrossi and Javier Calvo, and the special screening They Shot the Piano Player (They shot the pianist), by Fernando Trueba and Javier Mariscal.

For his part, Hayao Miyazaki will inaugurate the 71st edition with Kimitachi wa do ikiruka (The Boy And The Heron) and James Marsh will close it with Dance First.
