The former One Direction member canceled his South American tour after being hospitalized

Liam Payne, one of the five youngsters who made up One Direction, was hospitalized. The current soloist had a kidney infection for which he had to receive medical attention. For now, he is stable, but this does not mean that his condition is serious, so much so that he will spend some time in care and rest.

This unforeseen event comes at a cost Payne the tour he planned to hold in Latin America and which he will now have to postpone until further notice. “It is with a heavy heart that I have to tell you that we have no choice but to postpone my next South American tour,” he began explaining in a message on social media.

“I’ve been in hospital for the past week with a severe kidney infection, which I wouldn’t wish on anyone, and the doctors have ordered that I now have to rest and recover,” he continued.

The 29-year-old artist has an extremely large fan base in the region, so he and his team will have to work out what to do with those fans who have already bought tickets. As the singer changes his tour dates, he is publicly apologizing to people who planned to attend his shows in Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Chile and Mexico.

The tour was supposed to start on September 1 in Lima and end on the 12th of the same month in Mexico City. (AND)
