Radosław Śmigulski, director of the Polish Film Institute, said in an interview with the Onet portal: The name of the director and the main actor are known to me, but they must remain secret until the necessary agreements are concluded.
However, the amount of funding that he decided to support the production is known. It will be as much as PLN 6 million, while the budget of the entire production amounts to a dizzying sum of PLN 228 million by Polish standards. This is three times more than the amount for which Jerzy Kawalerowicz’s “Quo Vadis” was made. It is also known that Jayne-Ann Tenggren, who worked on one of the Specter films, will be the producer of the movie “Enemy of My Enemy”.

The decision to grant funding for the latest production about Witold Pilecki was commented on by Agnieszka Holland in an interview with the Onet portal. The director had comments not only about the finances themselves, but also about the professional experience of the producer Jayne-Ann Tenggren herself.
How is it possible that a film without a director, with an inexperienced American producer (so far she has not produced on her own, she had only the title of executive producer) and publicly known details about the participation of Poles, receives a very large amount of funding? she asked.
