Reality shows in which houses and gardens are arranged are an indispensable part of modern television schedules. One of the most popular are “Our new home” or “Total renovations of Szelągowska”. However, in 2002, such formats only began to appear on the Polish market.
It was then that the TVN station’s schedule debuted the program “Who arranged so?”, hosted by Małgorzata Maier – she was a participant in the first edition of the Polish version of the reality show “Big Brother”. People were invited to the program by friends who wanted to surprise them with a refreshed apartment. Only at the end of the show did the participants find out who made the report.

In total, two seasons of the program were produced, consisting of 36 episodes. The premiere broadcast of the program ended in 2002, but the program is still in the station’s schedule. Formerly, it was broadcast as part of the night replay band “Nic lost”, which also showed such programs as “Smile Marathon”, “Without Editing” or “Learning to Drive”. However, for several years the program has been highlighted in the station’s schedule, and at one time it broadcast it even twice a day.

It may come as a surprise to see an old show of less than 40 episodes constantly shown by such a large TV station. Even considering the fact that it is shown in the morning. However, the reason why TVN decides to include it all the time in the schedule may be the fact that it is a proprietary format of the station, which can be broadcast at will, unlike the old programs that were created on the basis of foreign licenses.
Anyway, TVN in its rich library certainly also has other archival programs of its own authorship, which it could remind the night owls. But for some unknown reason, it was “Who made you like this?” has been airing continuously every night for twenty years. On the website, you can find comments from unaware Internet users who do not realize that this is a re-airing and in their statements express their willingness to apply for the programme:
Good morning, I want to help renovate my brother’s apartment – paint the apartment. I want to do it with your help, but I don’t know how. Give me your address. I watch your new episodes, but I wonder why they are always released so early when everyone is sleeping. For me, a series like this should air on a weekend afternoon.
People do not notice the passage of time and still want to apply for the program. “It’s an embarrassment to me!”
Of course, among the users of the service there are also people who try to explain why the contact for the production of the program cannot be found anywhere. “People, this is a program from 2002. No one from the program will write you back, much less help you”, or “Małgorzata Maier is 55 today (2021) and no longer deals with renovations and television. Understand that at night after 3 am in the morning they are reruns of a program from more than 20 years ago. There are also more critical voices directed at TVN:
It’s a shock that such a reputable station still repeats such a program from several years ago! It’s a disgrace to me! There are many other more interesting programs! Shocking! – we read.
Currently, in the night schedule of TVN, Małgorzata Maier’s program is no longer broadcast every day, but “only” several times a week. Instead, there were programs known from sister TV stations HGTV or Discovery Science, such as “Recipe for an Old House”, “Live on the Beach” or “How It’s Made?”.
As you can see from the comments, despite the fact that we live in the era of streaming, such a large station as TVN has its viewership even in the morning. Instead of the constant broadcast of “Who made you like this?” it might be a good idea to remind at this time of productions from the archives that have not been aired for a long time, but in which viewers are not persuaded to participate in the program.
