They became millionaires overnight
Fortune came to the marriage so unexpectedly that for some time they could not get used to and find themselves in the new situation. With the sudden influx of cash, they lost the ability to assess the situation coolly and the decks of common sense. Roger and Lara quit their jobs almost immediately. After taking the win They bought a car for PLN 100,000 and a house for PLN 3 million. For a while they led a fairy-tale life; they traveled together, slept in the most expensive hotels and bought each other expensive clothes. It seemed that it would always be like this – after a few years it turned out that it was only an illusion.
A fairy tale life turned into a nightmare
After 8 years of living in constant carelessness, the first problems appeared. A luxury home bought for several million dollars burned down in a fire. The couple was left with nothing – the fortune was relatively quickly squandered on a lavish life. Roger and Lara’s relationship soon fell apart; the main reason for the separation was the fact that the man was cheating on his wife.
Currently, Lara is a tattoo artist and Roger is a recruiter. In interviews that appear in the foreign press, we can find statements from the former millionaire. As she says herself, only after some time did she notice that fortune changed their lives for the worseand because of their wealth they lost everything.
