Less than a week before the planned start of the Fest Festival, the organizers of the event informed about its cancellation due to financial problems. The event was to feature rapper Bedoes 2115, who decided to surprise fans who had purchased a ticket for this festival. He planned a free concert in his hometown of Bydgoszcz on August 12, which was attended by crowds of people from all over Poland.

Even several thousand people could attend the performance, but paramedics, who were quickly called to the event site, had the most work. According to the service, the rapper’s concert was attended by the Medical Rescue Team and firefighters from the Specialist Chemical and Ecological Rescue Group.
On the other hand, the Municipal Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Bydgoszcz reported that 140 people were provided with help at two medical points, of which three people had to be hospitalized. Ten units of the Fire Brigade, six Medical Rescue Teams, several police cars and WOPR were involved in the activities.
“Yesterday at 8 p.m., a concert of a Bydgoszcz rapper took place on the square in front of Torbyd. Even before the concert began, the first people who needed medical help began to report to the medics securing the event – usually after fainting. After several dozen minutes, there were more and more people requiring help (… “When the rescuers arrived at the site, the number of people requiring medical assistance exceeded the strength of medics. It was decided to use the mass incident procedure. More EMTs, PSP and TSO units were dispatched to the action” – we read in the release.
The concert was also attended by a person from the Gazeta.pl editorial office, who wishes to remain anonymous. She told the editorial office of Kultura Gazeta.pl that she was having fun on the concert floor, where it was very crowded and stuffy. “I left the crowd wet, but I had no idea that so many people fainted,” our informant reports. In addition, she said that she did not focus on observing the other participants of the event, but the consumption of alcohol by young people was visible. “The neighborhood Żabki was occupied,” she said.
In turn, television reported that the case of fainting at the concert of Bedoes began to be investigated by the police under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office. Verification activities are carried out in terms of art. 160 of the Penal Code, which concerns exposure to danger.
