Family has always been a priority. He has repeatedly spoken about the great support and love his parents have for him and willingly documented their presence during his concerts. However, it turns out that his private life was not always colorful. Some time ago, Kwiatkowski and his mother appeared in the “Uwaga” program broadcast on TVN, in which they both made a sincere confession. When the artist was a teenager, Agnieszka struggled with alcohol addiction. “I used to wake up and drink alcohol instead of coffee. This had a very big impact on David. I remember him standing in the doorway and saying, “You’re drunk again, I won’t have breakfast for school.” I’m ashamed. I missed the period when he started creating, writing – with regret.
He offered my mom a rehab. It helped her overcome the addiction
The woman could not admit for a long time that she had a problem, so she often lied about her condition and the amount of alcohol she had drunk. This further undermined his son’s confidence. Finally, Kwiatkowski decided to put an end to it and offered his mother a solution that, as it turned out later, freed her from the clutches of the disease. “I took her to rehab, so I must have been an adult when I was a teenager. I am not afraid to talk about my childhood, I do not feel sorry for myself – he said, adding that he wanted his story to be an inspiration for other young people who face similar problems as he did many years ago.
Today, she shares a special bond with her mother, which they are happy to talk about in the media. Agnieszka does not hide that her son is her great pride and inspiration. She willingly appears at his concerts and knows all the songs by heart. She intends to support him as he supported her in difficult times. “He fought for me with all his heart. Just like me, I couldn’t fight for myself – she said. In 2019, they both took part in the program “An Old Lady Must Fifik” and went on a trip to South Africa, which was recorded by cameras. It was a special time for both Agnieszka and the singer, and their joint adventure only complemented their relationship.
