Celebrity pensions are a topic that Poles are extremely interested in. Recently, many famous personalities have decided to reveal what amounts they receive from ZUS. One of such people is Laura Łącz, who remains professionally active because she would not be able to support herself on a starvation pension. Another such person is Tomasz Stockinger, who said in an interview with Plejada that “the pension is so small that if I only had a pension, it would actually be a starvation situation.”

Another person who decided to speak on this matter is Alicja Majewska. She is a talented singer who is known for such hits as “For New Love” or “We will discover unknown love”. In an interview for “Na Żywo” she directly said that if she wanted to live only from her pension, it would be impossible.
In addition, the artist performs hits written by other authors, therefore she cannot receive author’s royalties. Combined with a starvation pension, this means that the singer must continue touring, otherwise it would be difficult for her to support herself.
Alicja Majewska also had a difficult time in 2020 when the coronavirus pandemic broke out. For this year, she planned to give as many as 30 performances, for which she would receive a total of about PLN 300,000. However, due to the pandemic, concerts and performances at festivals did not take place, and the artist had to rely on what she receives from the state.
