Painting nails with ordinary varnish is time-consuming and the effect is not always satisfactory. The color can chip off after a few days and we have to do the whole styling again. Hybrid manicure turned out to be a real revolution in this topic. In an interview with the cosmetologist, Dagmara Nowak-Barańska revealed whether our nails sometimes need a break from the hybrid or can it be done all the time.

Hybrid nails. Is a break necessary?

Hybrid manicure consists in applying a base, varnish and top coat to the nails and curing everything in a UV lamp. lasts for several weeks, looks natural and is resistant to external factors. Some women, however, believe that once in a while you need to give up this type of manicure and let the plate rest. It’s a myth that needs to be busted. Especially since it is repeated quite often, mainly by non-specialists. If the plate remains in good condition, there is no need to take breaks – explained Nowak-Barańska.

Nail diseases. When to give up a manicure?

A break in making hybrids is not necessary if they are in good condition and the nail plate is not sawn, dried or reddened. You should give up a hybrid manicure if you recognize a green bacterium, leukonychia (white spots on the nails) or onycholiosis, which is manifested by the detachment of the plate from the placenta. The nails then have a brown, yellow or gray color. Under no circumstances do not make another styling on them, but go to a dermatologist.
