The nuns from Zabrze “beat him all over his body”. He’s been through hell. Now he will receive half a million zlotys

Justyna Kopiñska wrote a shocking report “Will God forgive Sister Bernadette”. She described the situation of the charges of the Educational Center in Zabrze, which was run by nuns from Trzebnica. Recently, a court awarded huge damages to one of the victims.

Pawe³ was an alumnus of the House of the Congregation of the Borromeo Sisters, who told Justyna Kopińska what was happening behind the walls of the centre. The nuns were alleged to have committed violence, maltreatment and abuse of children.

He told what was happening in the center run by nuns. “She was all over her body”

Justyna Kopińska’s text was published in “”. The author looked at the activities carried out by the sisters in Zabrze. By definition, an educational center aims to take care of children and youth, help in learning and adapt to life in society. Unfortunately, the institution of the Borromeo Sisters had little to do with upbringing. The author’s interlocutor, Paweł, came to the center when he was 1.5 years old. He experienced violence from an early age. “She took a wooden hanger once. She was all over the body. I can’t remember what for. But the worst were the blows to the head. As if she wanted to get inside,” he said in an interview with Justyna Kopińska.

Kopińska informed on the profile that thanks to the report, the Polish law on the safety of children in closed institutions has changed. The author said that the case of Sister Bernadette is not the only one, and after the publication of the material, many people spoke to her, who openly said that they had experienced psychological and physical violence in educational institutions throughout Poland.
