Will there be an extra three days off work? An idea came up

As reported by “”, the Chancellery of the President received a petition from an anonymous person who requests the introduction of an additional three days off work. Of course, it’s about specific dates, and Christmas Eve is one of them. The applicant justifies the choice by indicating that for many people this is an extremely important date. She also refers to the fact that preparing a Christmas Eve dinner can be time-consuming, and the day itself is of an integrative and family nature. It is the same with Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, which the petitioner also indicated in the letter. The choice of these two dates is argued as follows:

Due to long-term participation in the adoration of the cross and during the Way of the Cross on Friday and three Thursday masses, during which participation is impossible to reconcile with professional duties.

At the moment, the petition is being considered by the Intervention Legal Aid Office. It is not yet known what the next decision will be and whether Andrzej Duda will take a legislative initiative by submitting a bill to the Sejm based on a petition from an anonymous citizen.
