Today, Danuta Stenka is one of the most popular Polish actresses, but her career path was long and bumpy. In the latest interview, she recalled her childhood and talked about difficult experiences.

The actress gained popularity romantic comedy “Never in my life”, in which she played the role of Judyta. He has many more great roles to his credit. Her most important productions include: “Other’s happiness”, “Chopin. Desire for love” or “More than life”.

Despite his unflagging popularity, he has consistently avoided talking about private matters for years. Now, however, she has made an exception. In an interview for “Fashion Magazine”, quoted by the portal, she recalled her childhood, which, as it turns out, was not carefree and idyllic. Her mother supported the whole family on a small salary, which she received as a Russian language teacher at school. Dad was unable to work, because he had a serious accident in his youth, as a result of which he was disabled. “I grew up in the countryside. Mom was a teacher. I remember she had this pretty emerald dress, the only dress she wore to school or to visits. She wore it until it finally wore out. We all hung on my mom’s salary. Everyone, because dad broke his spine at the age of 28 – she recalled.

This is not the only tragedy that has befallen the actress’s family. Already in 2012, in an interview for, she confessed that her family house in Kashubia was completely burnt down in a fire. “It burned down the day before I was born. After the fire, my grandparents and my great-grandfather moved in with my parents. To one room with a kitchen and a room in the school attic, she recalled at the time. Now she confessed that the entire responsibility for rebuilding the house rested with her mother, who was unable to do it on a small teacher’s salary. “After the fire, we had to build a house for my great-grandfather, my grandparents and us from the teacher’s salary,” said Stenka. Difficult experiences, however, did not deprive her of dreams and self-confidence. It was thanks to her parent that she learned perseverance and determination despite adversity.
