Tomasz Stockinger about working on “Znachorze”: Everyone was enchanted by Ania [WIDEO]

– “Quick” was supposed to be based on three big names. There was Bińczycki, there was Dymna and the third one, and the choice fell on me actually at the last moment – recalls Tomasz Stockinger in an interview with the editor of Gossip. The outstanding theater actor Jerzy Bińczycki, who played the role of Professor Rafał Wilczur, also gained cinema popularity earlier thanks to “Nights and Days”. Anna Dymna made her successful theater debut as early as her first year of studies, in 1969. At the time when the cast of “The Quack” was being completed, the actress had, among others, roles in “Janosik”, “Themselves” or “Love or throw”. Stockinger played his first character only three years before “The Quack” and big roles were still ahead of him.

– Anyway, I was mainly stage fright, because they wanted a third star, and something about those talks, dates didn’t work out, and I jumped in like that – well, I don’t want to say like a sudden replacement – but it was unexpected. “Znachor” by Jerzy Hoffman was the second screen adaptation of Tadeusz Dołęga-Mostowicz’s novel. The production was a huge box office success. Since its premiere in 1981, the two-part film has been eagerly watched on television by many people, many times. Stockinger as harbie and Dymno as Marysia created a couple whose love is supported even by those who have seen the end of this story many times.

During the work on “Quack” there were rumors that Stockinger was infatuated with a fellow cast member. She had a series of personal tragedies, the actor recalls. – A car accident, a hospital, serious health problems and other personal problems meant that we also took special care of her comfort, and on the other hand, she was also, how to say, trembling in front of the camera?
