Vladimir Lenin said in 1921 that cinema is the most important of the arts. You can agree with this statement or not, but the truth is that we have contact with various films from an early age. With age, our tastes change and we get to know productions that are particularly memorable. Some of them are so special to us that we can safely say that they changed our lives.
“It’s absurd and emotional, but I recommend it”
I decided to check which titles caught your hearts the most and the list of films that the interlocutors shared with me is really very diverse. The first of the interlocutors mentioned two films: “Inception“Christopher Nolan and”The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” by David Fincher. A resident of Warsaw said that thanks to this title she fell in love with Portugal, and the film is “absurd and based on emotions and images”, noting that it is worth seeing. In the case of this director, it is worth mentioning that his latest film “Perfect Days” won two statuettes at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.

The former pointed out that this title was groundbreaking in terms of portraying transgender people in cinema. The latter stated that she was captivated by the theme of the father-child relationship in this film.

Another passerby again pointed out “godfather“, while another of the men chose “C’mon C’monMike Mills, who triumphed in studio cinemas last year. The main character of the film is a middle-aged man named Johnny (Joaquin Phoenix), who suddenly has to take care of his little nephew, who accompanies him on a business trip across the United States.
A young inhabitant of Warsaw chose the film Another woman chose “HateMathieu Kassovitz, saying that this is a title that tells about the most important thing in life – friendship and interpersonal relationships.
Another young interlocutor mentioned one of the last big Netflix productions entitled “Tyler Rock 2” Sam Hargrave, and another interviewee chose “Black SwanDarren Aronofsky.
