Eggs are one of those foods that can be found in almost every home. However, while the egg itself has many uses, the shell is most often thrown away in the garbage. It’s a pity, because they can be used in many different ways. Egg shells are a source of calcium and other micronutrients, including: boron, magnesium, manganese, copper, iron, molybdenum, sulfur and zinc. Properly prepared, they are great as an addition to dishes, fertilizer for plants, and even a face mask.
Egg shells – our grandmothers’ patent for beautiful skin
Home methods of face and body care used years ago are back in favour. On store shelves you can find more and more cosmetics with natural ingredients, and women more and more often decide to use food products when taking care of their skin. A mask made of egg shells has a positive effect on the appearance of the skin, smoothes it and adds radiance. How to prepare it?
Blend the eggshells and mix with the two ingredients. You won’t regret the results
Making such a natural mask is very easy, and you probably already have everything you need in your kitchen. If there are no contraindications or allergies to any of the ingredients of the mask, you can do it 1-2 times a week.
- The eggshell should be washed, scalded, and then ground into a powder.
- Mix finely ground shells with egg white, a teaspoon of honey and a flat teaspoon of natural yoghurt.
- Apply the mask to a cleansed face and leave it for 10 minutes.
- After this time, rinse with lukewarm water. If there are no contraindications (e.g. acne) before rinsing, you can gently rub your face, performing a peeling.
- Finally, spray your face with a toner and apply a moisturizer or rich serum.
