Since 2011, the 219C of the Pantone scale has had its own name: it is ‘Rosa Barbie’. A color that has been associated with it since the birth of the doll and has been the best ally during the promotion of the film directed by Greta Gerwin.

All it took was a billboard of this Pantone and a date, July 21, to announce in the US the movie premiere. Everyone who saw her knew what she was about.

Because this Barbie promotion campaign will surely end up in any marketing school as an example of good work. Playing with the plot of the film, they have brought the fantasy world to reality, like their dream house, temporarily rented in Malibu or a cafeteria transformed for the occasion.

In Paris, Zara has just opened a temporary store only with clothes from the Barbie universe and during one of the press tours, the floor of the hotel where the interviews were held was upholstered and decorated in pink. Not a detail has been left to chance.

For her part, the star and producer of the film, Margot Robbie she has attended each act as a replica of the doll with clothes designed by the likes of Versace, Balmain, Moschino or Vivienne Westwood. Hers was the long pink dress that she wore at the London premiere, the last one that could be held before the actors strike it will stop everything

But she already left us speechless with her first appearance in Sydney with the doll’s famous black and white swimsuit transformed for the occasion into a Hervé Léger dress.

Never has a movie had such careful promotion as this one.
