The series “W11 – Wydział Śledczy” aired from September 6, 2004 to June 11, 2014. For a decade, the quasi-documentary series about the work of Krakow policemen attracted millions of viewers, as did its sister production, which is to return to the air after many years. Nearly 10 years ago, eight people appearing in both series decided to enter into a dispute with TVN and the Association of Polish Stage Artists for payment of due royalties, including for broadcasting repeats. The actors are demanding a total of PLN 17 million with interest, which was calculated on the basis of the number of broadcasts and the contract concluded between the station and ZASP. The case has been dragging on for years, and some time ago Sebastian Wątroba, a police officer from the “W11” series, announced progress.
