The activation allowance is not available to everyone. Only persons registered in the Poviat Labor Office and receiving unemployment benefit may apply for it. However, they must find a job on their own or take up employment after being referred by the PUP. Then they are entitled to an activation allowance, which is to be a means of motivating them to find a job. However, there is a catch. Even if you meet the above conditions, you must work part-time or be paid less than the minimum wage by your employer. Only then can you apply to PUP for payment of the activation supplement. However, it is not payable to persons who have taken up employment abroad, previously worked in an employment office or have not maintained employment continuity.
