The voice of Miriam Aleksandrowicz is associated by many Poles of different generations. She was one of the most popular dubbing actresses in Poland. We could hear her voice in such productions as “Duck Tales”, “Kajko i Kokosz”, “The Addams Family” or “The Lion King”. She died suddenly on July 5, 2023, at the age of 65.
There is a dresscode for Miriam Aleksandrowicz’s funeral
The actress’s son and other family members posted an entry on social media informing about the details of the funeral ceremony of the dubbing actress. “Dear friends! We inform you that Misia’s farewell will take place this Thursday, July 13, at 2.30 pm at the Northern Communal Cemetery in Wólka Węglowa – room B. Please: do not bring flowers! Due to the fact that Miriam was socially active, we would like to organize a collection Donation boxes will be available during the ceremony, as well as for those who are interested, below we provide details for payment by bank transfer” – we read at the beginning of the post.
In the next paragraph, there was quite surprising information about the dress code during the funeral. “Since Misia was a multi-colored person and loved colors, especially yellow, we will be obliged if an accent in this color appears in your creation. We also strongly suggest sports shoes (which she also loved). Then she will not haunt us…” – noted in the entry.
The legendary dubbing actress will be buried at Warsaw’s Northern Cemetery next to her second husband Jacek Czyż, as well as her mother and grandmother, who were murdered years ago in an apartment in the Old Town. To this day, it is not known who is behind the brutal murder of her loved ones.
Relatives and friends pay tribute to Miriam Aleksandrowicz
When the first reports of the death of the actress appeared in the media, her relatives published many touching farewell entries on social media. One of the first people who decided to write such a post was her longtime friend, the president of the Praski Hospital in Warsaw, Andrzej Golimont. “Miriam Aleksandrowicz has passed away. A legend of Polish dubbing. A friend for over 30 years. A person with a unique sense of humor. Everything I want to write is stuck in my throat,” we read.
The artist’s son and sister also said goodbye in an emotional way. “How trivial it sounds. Mom passed away today. Mać. Not only mine. Not only ours. Mother of many lost souls. She went to Czyż, her love of life. Watch over us. I’m terribly empty! Today I can afford it … ” – wrote Jan Aleksandrowicz-Kraśko. In turn, Małgorzata Aleksandrowicz wrote: “He is already with Mom, Dad and beloved Jacusiam. I am so sorry …”.
