Marcin Kwa¶ny looked for an escape from marital problems in alcohol, which led to addiction. His faith gave him hope, although he had been a staunch atheist for nearly two decades. Today he tries to convert others.

Marcin Kwaśny has been successfully performing both on stage and on the screen for many years. Television productions brought him popularity, among others. “On a cat’s paw”, “High heels on Giewont” or . Despite many successes in the profession, he could not find happiness in private for a long time. Everything changed when he was converted. What was his path to faith like?

In 2008, Marcin Kwaśny married the well-known architect Dianê Kołakowska, but problems soon appeared in their marriage. They made him seek refuge in alcohol. Eventually, he fell into a trap from which he could not get out for a long time. Ultimately, his faith helped him, although, as he himself declared earlier, he was an atheist. He told about his conversion in the newspaper “Closer to Life with Faith”. He admitted that turning to God for help changed his life.

For 18 years I was outside the Church, ‘outside’ God. I was anti-Catholic, anti-clerical. In 2013, I said one sentence: Lord Jesus, if You exist, help me, because I can’t cope. He became more and more faithful over time. He felt the need to get involved in the life of the Church, which is why he joined various religious organizations. Then fate smiled on him again. In one of the groups associating famous followers of Jesus Christ, he met the opera singer Klaudia. They quickly caught the thread of understanding and began dating. Friendship resulted in a strong bond, which in turn resulted in love. Finally, in 2021, they got married. The couple had two children. Currently, the actor shuns show business, avoids industry events where he regularly appeared years ago, and does not comment on his private life in the media. He still treats faith as a life guide. She willingly tells others about the story of her conversion and inspires them to seek a relationship with God. In 2022, the film “Confession” was released, which Kwaśny directed.
