Ko¿uchowska fell into cardboard boxes, and the rest? These farewells of the characters to the series went down in history

I think we all remember how in 2011 Hanka Mostowiak (played by Małgorzata Kożuchowska) fell into cardboard boxes. In the history of Polish television, however, there are many more actors who left in an unusual way. Let’s recall the ones that caused the greatest consternation among viewers.

Viewers will surely remember these departures from the series. What happened to the heroines of popular soap operas?

In history, there were many actors who said goodbye in unexpected ways. Some were not given a chance to return, killing their heroes, while others were left open if they decided to rejoin the cast in the future. The second group includes , who played the role of Małgosia, daughter of Lucjan and Barbara Mostowiak for 13 years. At some point, her heroine left for the United States, and there was no indication that she would not return to her family. The scriptwriters kept the viewers in suspense until it turned out that the woman was involved in a sect and disappeared without a trace.

Much more often, however, screenwriters decide to kill off the characters. This was the case with , who decided to end the adventure with “Na Wspólnej”. For nearly 16 years she played the role of Zuza, thus building an unwavering position in the industry. Over time, other roles began to appear in which she wanted to try her hand, but numerous professional duties began to interfere with family life. Ultimately, she decided to slow down and end cooperation with the production she was associated with for the longest time. The plot of her character was cut off in a predictable way, but it was enough to increase viewership for a few episodes. Zuza had an accident and then went to the hospital, where, despite the efforts of doctors, she did not wake up from the coma.

The scenes took viewers by surprise. Nobody expected such a development

Katarzyna Zielińska played in “Colours of Happiness” from the first episode and did not hide that the production was her pass to the world of show business. Despite the sentiment, the role of Marta Walewska after a decade became burdensome for her, as viewers identified her with the series. Ultimately, the actress decided to end her cooperation with Telewizja Polska, and the complicated fate of her character was ended by the scriptwriters in an unusually brutal way for television. Walewska was the victim of a psychopathic murderer.

Finally, a real gem in the history of Polish Television. Viewers certainly remember how Rysiek was killed in a spectacular way. Many even claimed that the dramatic scene of his death could compete with the one in which Hanka Mostowiak fell into cardboard boxes. The hero played by Piotr Cyrwus got into a fight with thieves in a hospital room. At one point, one of the thugs pushed him and he fell, hitting his head on the floor. He was later found dead by other patients. Contrary to the assumptions of the creators, the scene caused great amusement among the viewers, and the actor was the hero of numerous memes and jokes for a long time.
