Is hair more hypoallergenic than fur? Allergens are more easily removed from the hair
Hair itself is no more hypoallergenic than fur. However, it may be easier for people with allergies, because the fur is thicker and more susceptible to allergens sticking in it. In turn, removing them from the hair is easier due to the smoother texture. It’s worth knowing that people with allergies are not allergic to the fur itself. Allergic reactions of various types are primarily responsible for: exfoliating epidermis, saliva, and more specifically the proteins contained in it, urine and animal feces. It is true, however, that dogs with hair generally do not shed and therefore the amount of flaking skin is less. This causes allergies, but only in theory may not be so troublesome or dangerous.
