In an interview with Jakub Wesołowski, he revealed that he did not plan to tie his future with acting. He applied for the casting at the instigation of his friends, and the goal was not popularity or career, but the desire to earn extra pocket money. He admitted that initially he belonged to rather shy teenagers and it was only working on the set that made him gain confidence. There was even a moment when he was overly boastful of fame. – When you’re 17, you get money and go to some gyms, someone asks you to smile, people come up to you, it was probably a moment when “it went crazy” – he said. Over time, however, he understood how show business works and gained a lot of distance to it. – This tinsel is wonderful and super alluring for a young man, but you have a home, normal relationships, loving relatives. This world is fantastic, but the real one is elsewhere, at the end of the day.
Wesołowski has a knack for business. He successfully runs his own business
Despite the huge popularity and constant interest of fans and the media, Wesołowski occasionally gives interviews, protects his privacy and rarely appears at industry events. He also decided to limit his screen activity to devote more time to developing his own business. – I’ve been doing acting for 20 years and I still enjoy it very much, but I also wanted to test myself in other fields, so nowadays these are much less spectacular topics, e.g. running my own business. Today, the enterprise arouses my great interest, he confessed.
He also stated that although acting gives him fulfillment, success depends on many factors, which made him feel less and less appreciated. There is no such problem in business, so a few years ago he decided to spread his wings in the hotel industry. Currently, he is a co-owner of a thriving hotel near Warsaw. – I am a man who needs permanent challenges, I have to get excited about life and the world. (…) I must feel that it is hard, I must fight – summed up Wesołowski.
