Grieving but very resigned, pilot from Quito Roberto Ayala, better known as the winner of the second season of the cooking reality show Masterchef Ecuador, shared on social networks that he had just been the victim of a crime.

In a post on Twitter, the amateur chef who uses the nickname @ladurarealidat said he was driving in his car through an area known as González Suárez, in the north center of Quito, when he got out “for two seconds” to buy food. “They break my glass and take things. For an anecdote, because returning them would be something utopian. I hate living like this.”

The popular chef with more than 24,500 followers on the platform also shared how the robbery happened despite his car having security panels on the windows, which are meant to protect the glass in an attempted theft.

According to various digital reports, the González Suárez neighborhood is one of the most exclusive in the capital of Ecuador. It is an exclusive residential area that has several restaurants, bars and business premises to meet the demand of its residents. From its buildings with more than 10 floors, you can see the north of Quito, the Pichincha volcano, the historic center and the Tumbaco valley. (AND)
