Peruvian writer Mario Vargas Llosa, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature, He has been admitted to the hospital since last Saturday after contracting the Covid-19as confirmed by his children Álvaro, Gonzalo and Morgana in a statement on Twitter.
“In view of the media’s interest in our father’s state of health, we make public that he has been hospitalized since Saturday after being diagnosed with Covid-19“, they have declared in a brief statement. “He is being treated by excellent professionals and accompanied by his family. The writer had already experienced this situation previously, in April of last year, when he had to be hospitalized in a medical center in Madrid due to the same causes.
Mario Vargas Llosa, 87, currently resides in Madrid, where he has his own house, after having ended his relationship with Isabel Preysler at the beginning of the year. His son Álvaro is currently taking care of his affairs and has begun a rapprochement with Patricia Llosa, his ex-wife and mother of his three children, whom he had left for Preysler.
