A legal battle between Kevin Costner ex-wife Christine Baumgartner continues. The actor claims the $248,000 a month in child support demanded by the handbag designer is partly to fund his own plastic surgery costs.
Baumgartner, 49, who reportedly “shocked” Costner, 68, by serving him divorce papers, called the amount sought “less than the amount needed to support the children in their normal lifestyle.”
The former couple have three children together, Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13. Costner also has four grown children from previous relationships.
Costner’s accountant now claims in new court documents obtained by him TMJ that Expenses listed among the $248,000 include more than $100,000 in cosmetic surgery for Baumgartner, as well as thousands of dollars in boutique purchases, huge ATM withdrawals and other non-child support expenses.
Among the designer’s listed expenses are credit card bills and her legal fees, among others.

The documents state that Costner has paid all of the children’s expenses and will continue to do so, saying the amount he is currently paying is a reasonable amount: $51,940 per month.
Documents from earlier this month show Costner raking in just over $19.5 million in 2022, with the family’s expenses listed at $6.6 million for the same year. The family’s net worth is estimated at $7.5 million.according to the report of people.
Baumgartner recently expressed her willingness to leave the mansion on August 31st, but only as long as she has guarantees that her soon-to-be ex will not leave her penniless. The woman wants Costner, 68, to agree to pay whatever alimony and fees the judge orders at an upcoming hearing scheduled for July 12. according to court documents he received RadarOnline.
That arrangement would have given her 50 days to find a new place to live and move in, while the prenuptial agreement stated that she would leave the original home within 30 days of filing for divorce. She said she was reluctant to leave her home without a plan and funds, at least for the sake of her children, whom she does not want to have to move multiple times.
Costner was not only the main breadwinner of the family, but also the only person who earned money recently.and Baumgartner stated in his submission that he has no income.
According to RadarOnlineactor deposited $1 million into his ex-wife’s bank account to get her to move out of their mansion, saying he gave her $200,000 before they got married in accordance with their prenuptial agreement.

However, Baumgartner is not touching the money, because he says that would deprive him of the ability to challenge the validity of their prenuptial agreement.
He also said the couple had no problems during the days Costner stayed at the house.and convinced that the mansion’s size and disconnected living spaces meant they could live together without interacting.
Costner’s legal team previously said in court documents that “Kevin acted in good faith and did everything possible to make the transition as smooth as possible.“. (AND)
