On June 17, almost half a year after the disappearance of the actor, the search was resumed for the first time, which was interrupted due to bad weather conditions. The police statement said that while the weather in California has warmed up a bit, “many areas still include land and ravines where more than 10 feet of ice and snow still lie.”
Local authorities declare that more than 80 volunteers took part in the search, using two helicopters and drones to search the area. They also managed to reach places that ground crews could not get to. The results of the rescue work were reported by CNN. Traces of human remains have been found in Southern California. They were very close to where the actor disappeared. The body was transported to the coroner’s office for identification, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said.
