When the LO27 band debuted on the music market in 1997, Kuba Molęda, like his brother Maciej, who was 8 years older, already had considerable experience in the industry. The debut album “I can do everything” made a sensation among teenage listeners, gaining platinum status.

Before LO27 was brought to life, Kuba Molęda already existed in the domestic show business. He started his adventure in the “5-10-15” TVP program. Kuba was only 7 years old at the time. — One time during the show, they announced a contest to record an interesting music video. I was excited and persuaded my brother Maciek to record something and send the tape to TV in Woronicza Street. It turned out that they invited him to the show. My brother sang, and I performed by accident, and that’s how it all began – Kuba in one of the interviews. Participation in the show became a career pass for the brothers. After Maciej participated twice in and fruitful cooperation with the composer Robert Chojnacki, they decided to start creating on their own.
In 1997, they established the band LO27, making a real sensation among the listeners. Maciej wrote lyrics and music, but it was Kuba who focused the most attention on himself. “Girl groups came to the house to take pictures and get autographs,” recalled the younger brother. After the success of their debut album, they released another, which, however, met with a much smaller response. In 1999, the group disbanded. Then the brothers created the band “Mollęda” and released the album “2xM”. After failing to participate in the pre-selections for , they decided that each would go their own way.

After the dissolution of the band, Maciej completely withdrew from show business, while Kuba focused on developing in music. He first studied vocals at the Academy of Music in Katowice, and later also completed his music education at the then Świętokrzyska Academy in Kielce. He has many duets to his credit, including z, with whom he recorded the Polish version of the song from Disney’s “Camp Rock”.
The 39-year-old successfully fulfills himself on various levels, and although he is not as loud as he used to be, music is still an important part of his life. — From time to time I give concerts, dub cartoons, record soundtracks for them. I play a lot as a session vocalist and I’m also working on new material – he told Radio Active. In 2014, he also took part in the show, where he placed 7th.
