Supplement for long-term married couples. One document will be needed
The author of the petition proposed that long-term marriages should be honored with a form of financial support. It would be a one-time payment depending on the length of the relationship. The money would go to couples who have been married for at least 50 years. So instead of receiving only a decoration from the president on the occasion of the “golden anniversary”, they could also be entitled to a considerable sum of money.
The only condition, apart from the internship, is to present a document confirming the marriage, which can be downloaded from the relevant Registry Office. However, it is not known when the addition will be implemented. For this to be possible, the petition must be positively considered by the Committee on Human Rights, the Rule of Law and the Senate, so that the Senate can proceed with the preparation of the bill.

The amount of the allowance for will depend on its length. It must be at least 50 years old, and the amount will increase accordingly with each subsequent year. According to estimates, about PLN 100 million is to be transferred from the state budget for this purpose annually. But how much would such a one-off benefit paid to individual married couples be?
- 50 years of service – PLN 5,000;
- 55 years of service – PLN 5,500;
- 60 years of service – PLN 6,000;
- 65 years of service – PLN 6,500;
- 70 years of service – PLN 7,000;
- 75 years of service – PLN 7,500;
- 80 years of service – PLN 8,000.
